how scoring works
Azure Pronunciation Assessment measures the recording. SpeakingMonkey rebuilds each score from the sounds it returns and calibrates them against a native reading of the same sentence. Unmeasurable evidence stays unscored instead of becoming a false zero.
privacy at a glance
Practice history stays in your browser. Scoring audio is processed for the attempt, not saved as practice history. Optional analytics runs only after consent and never includes audio or written feedback. Read the full privacy notice.
