What to focus on in Spanish
Clear vowels
Spanish vowels stay comparatively stable across words. Listen for one clean vowel sound instead of letting an unstressed vowel drift toward an English-style neutral sound.
Word stress
Stress can distinguish words and verb forms. Accent marks show many exceptions, while sentence audio reveals how the stressed syllable fits the surrounding rhythm.
Connected consonants
Consonants such as b, d, and g can sound softer between vowels. Complete sentences make these contextual changes easier to hear than isolated word lists.
Practice library
Choose Spanish from Spain or Mexico. Each variety has 300 CEFR-graded sentences, its own native reference voice, and matching pronunciation assessment.
600 sentences · A1–C2
A useful practice routine
- Keep each vowel distinct when two or three vowels appear close together.
- Mark the stressed syllable mentally before repeating a low-scoring word.
- Choose the Spain or Mexico library that matches the model you want to follow.
